Care Instructions

Our cargo shorts are built to last, and with the right care they'll keep their shape, color, and comfort season after season. Follow these simple steps to get the most out of your pair.

Before Washing

• Empty all pockets, including the cargo pockets, and remove any keys, coins, tissues, or receipts.
• Close all zippers, buttons, snaps, and Velcro flaps so they don't snag the fabric or other garments.
• Turn the shorts inside out to protect the color, stitching, and pocket details from friction.
• Check for stains and treat them early with a gentle stain remover. Avoid rubbing hard, which can wear down the fabric.

Washing

• Machine wash cold (30°C / 86°F) on a gentle or normal cycle.
• Wash with similar colors, especially for the first few washes, since darker shades may release some dye.
• Use a mild detergent and avoid overloading the machine so the shorts can move freely and rinse clean.
• Do not use bleach or harsh chemicals, as they can weaken the fibers and cause fading or discoloration.
• Skip fabric softener if your shorts have a water-resistant or performance finish, as it can reduce effectiveness.
• For light soiling, spot cleaning with a damp cloth and a little mild soap is often enough and helps extend the life of the fabric.

Drying

• Tumble dry on low heat, or hang dry for best results.
• Air drying in the shade helps prevent shrinkage and keeps colors looking fresh longer. Direct sunlight over long periods can cause fading.
• Remove promptly from the dryer and smooth out the seams and pockets by hand to reduce wrinkles.
• Avoid high heat, which can shrink cotton and damage elastic waistbands or stretch fabrics.

Ironing

• If needed, iron on a warm (medium) setting while the shorts are still slightly damp or inside out.
• Do not iron directly over logos, prints, patches, or labels.
• A pressing cloth can help protect darker fabrics from developing a shine.

Storage

• Fold neatly or hang by the waistband on a clip hanger to keep the shape.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Make sure the shorts are completely dry before storing to prevent mildew and odors.

Good to Know

• Do not dry clean.
• Some natural softening and slight fading over time is normal and adds to the lived-in character of the fabric.
• Minor shrinkage (around 2–3%) may occur on the first wash with cotton fabrics. Washing cold and air drying helps minimize this.
• If your shorts contain stretch fibers (spandex or elastane), always choose low heat or hang drying to preserve the stretch and recovery.
