Care Instructions

Denim gets better with age — treat it well and it'll last for years.

• Wash cold, inside out. Turn your jeans inside out and machine wash on a cold, gentle cycle. Cold water protects the indigo and keeps the fibres from breaking down.
• Wash sparingly. Denim doesn't need washing after every wear. Spot-clean small marks and air the jeans out between wears; every 5–10 wears is plenty for most people.
• Use a mild detergent. Choose a gentle liquid detergent, ideally one made for dark colours. Skip bleach, optical brighteners, and fabric softener — softener coats the cotton and dulls the finish.
• Wash with like colours. Dark denim can transfer dye for the first few washes, so keep it away from lights and whites.
• Hang to dry. Air-dry flat or on a line, away from direct sunlight. Tumble drying shrinks the cotton, weakens the stretch fibres, and fades the wash faster than anything else.
• Reshape while damp. Give the legs and waistband a gentle tug back into shape before they dry.
• Iron on medium if needed. Press inside out on a warm setting. Avoid ironing over rivets, buttons, or distressed areas.
• Do not dry clean or bleach.

First wash: expect a small amount of indigo to rinse out and up to 2–3% shrinkage, which relaxes back with wear.
