Caring for Your Cargo Pants

Made for everyday wear, these cargo pants will keep their shape, colour and character for years with a little care.

Before Washing

• Empty every pocket, including the side cargo pockets
• Fasten all zips, buttons and snaps, and close the pocket flaps to protect the fabric and hardware
• Turn the pants inside out to reduce fading and surface wear
• Treat any stains first: blot gently with cold water and a little mild soap, never rub

Washing

• Machine wash cold (30°C maximum) on a normal or gentle cycle
• Wash with similar colours; darker shades may release some dye in the first few washes
• Use a mild liquid detergent and do not bleach
• Skip fabric softener, as it can dull the colour and weaken the fabric over time
• Don't overload the machine, so the pants can move freely and rinse clean
• Wash only when needed; between wears, airing out and spot cleaning are usually enough

Drying

• Remove from the machine promptly and shake out to release creases
• Smooth the seams, pockets and flaps into place by hand
• Hang by the waistband or lay flat to dry, away from direct sunlight to prevent fading
• If using a dryer, choose a low heat setting and remove while slightly damp to avoid shrinkage

Ironing

• Iron on medium heat with the pants inside out, or use a pressing cloth
• Light steam helps refresh the fabric and relax creases
• Avoid ironing directly over logos, labels, patches, zips or buttons

Storage

• Hang by the waistband or fold neatly along the natural creases
• Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place
• Avoid keeping them in plastic bags for long periods, so the fabric can breathe
