Caring for Your Crazy Horse Leather Card Wallet

Everyday use

• Crazy horse leather is waxed and oiled, so scratches and lighter streaks are part of its character. Most light marks fade if you rub them gently with your fingertip or a soft cloth; the warmth brings the wax back to the surface.
• Don't overfill the pockets. The leather will stretch a little to fit your cards over time, but forcing in too much can strain the stitching.

Cleaning

• Wipe off dust and dirt with a dry, soft cloth.
• For light grime, use a cloth that's barely damp, then let it air dry.
• Don't use soap, household cleaners, alcohol, or wet wipes; they strip the oils and wax.

If it gets wet

• Blot it gently with a soft towel and let it dry naturally at room temperature.
• Keep it away from heaters, hair dryers, and direct sun, which can make the leather stiff or cracked.

Conditioning

• Every 6–12 months, or whenever it feels dry, rub in a small amount of leather conditioner or wax balm with a soft cloth, then buff it.
• Test first on a hidden spot, since conditioners can darken the leather slightly.

Storage

• Keep it somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sunlight.
• Don't store it in plastic; leather needs to breathe.

Aging
Over time the leather develops a patina: its color deepens and the surface gets smoother and softer. No two pieces age the same way.
